It's spooky time

So started on Halloween cards.  This is a bi-fold that I really liked.  On the left side, I die-cut a coffin so that the skeleton on the inside was visible.  The right side door has orange card stock on which I stamped some black lace.  I placed a black gem between the lace diamonds.  The inside is just plain orange card stock with the skeleton and the top of the coffin, and the sentiment.

The background on this card almost hurts your eyes.  I loved the stripes on this paper and thought it was perfect for the tree die.  This is another card that I kept pretty uncluttered.  The leaves/flowers are sequins.  The spider that was added actually swings back and forth.  It's on a thin orange thread that lets the little guy weave about.

Yippie!!  The eBay account is up and running.  Sold a couple cards already.  I'll be putting up some pictures of cards that I've made and are for sale on eBay, or some that practice/training.

My first card post

So here is one of my cards.  I just fell in love with this stamp set.  It's hibiscus from Designs by Ryn.  Just adore her designs.  Haven't had a chance to play with the stencil yet, but itching to.   The papers are just simple blues, as I didn't want to distract from the flowers.  I used watercolor paper, and started by embossing the flowers and leaves.  I painted them with twinkling h2o's.  Unfortunately, you can't really see how the flowers shimmer and glow.  I put some beads on and did a little bit of splatter because it was just too much white background for me.  Need to mess around some more with this set.  Way too much fun.

So let's see how this works out

So here goes nothing.   At this point, all of this is new to me, and I'll be learning as I go along.  This all boils down to the fact that I have decided to be an awesome and brilliant starving artist.  My crafty fingers needed to be put to work, so I decided to open a  shop on Ebay.

At first, this blog will be all my trials and tribulations and hair pulling whilst setting up and starting this adventure.  Wish me luck and visit my shop MousehouseCards on Ebay, and hopefully watch me grow and flourish.
